Right. We went to the basement to do the recycling and it brought to mind that Playstation game, Resident Evil. Braaaaaaaaaaaains.

Tom and Liz came around Saturday night. I coerced Mal and Tom into fixing our table.

That was grand only Mal gave up.

“Work, Burke, work”, he said.

And he did. “Mickies, mickies, mickies”, he said, while fixing it. Cheers for the steady table, Tom.

Next day we went to the festival of World Culture in Dun Laoghaire. There’s nothing as romantic as shared sushi.

Mal was disgusted and Thomas was bemused.

But they got over it and soon everyone was having a great laugh.

Thomas particularly enjoyed himself.

We saw a child with seaweed on his head. Then he saw us..

There were actually cultural activities going on in the midst of all this MESSING.

But mostly there was messing. Mal tried to get himself up the pole.

The man on the sign is saying “fuck”. Thomas is not as he’s not sinking, as he knows not to attempt to walk on water.

But if he wanted to try, handily there were steps into the ocean to help him out.

Football is back.
Twice a week now, and possibly more, I’m going to hear “Football alert!” which is my standard warning that Mal is booking himself in for some time watching lads running around a field after a ball.
He even got himself a tattoo in celebration.

Life may be quiet at the moment, but we’ll always, always have Home and Away.

I think I may have accidentally ruined it for myself looking for this picture.
And I was hoping for a really evil looking one too.
This one’s far too fresh faced, ne’er a dodgy deal in sight.
Not a hint of the man who single-handedly terrorised the bay and SENT ALF STEWART TO JAIL!
Ah well.

Fact: IMDB says Daniel Collopy (aka Josh West)’s nickname is “Handsome Dan”.
Strewth.
